Brian,
The efforts I do are not just me individually, their are other people
very much involved. The libertarian society is recruiting members for the sole
purpose of qualifying candidates for public office. The state of florida
changed the law so every registered libertarian voter can decide if a candidate
running under the libertarian banner can be the most effective libertarian
elected official. The very core of libertarian ideology is of the individual. I
believe that individuals decide if they are libertarian, despite how different
each individual might think, and it is not a decision that should be determined
by a committee. I know we don't agree on every issue, but I still respect your
arguements. I am surprised you think my efforts I have done are mine alone and
nobody else is involved. Myself and others determined, like Brian, that we
didn't have the time to commit to build another political party(ALP) and we
dissolved the party. Myself, and others, have started the libertarian society
in florida to qualify as many libertarian candidates for public office that we
possibly can. We feel the lpf has fallen far short of doing that. If I recall,
even you were leaving the party for what the reform caucus had done to the
platform when you felt most libertarians disagreed with what they did. I
believe, even if you disagree, that the change in the election laws will change
the libertarian party from a shrinking party to a fast growing libertarian
revolution. The libertarian society is a permanent full slate effort to qualify
as many libertarian candidates that we possibly can.If their is anyone
interested, including Brian, go to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and join. If you don't
like certain people running under the libertarian label, then recruit a
candidate to run against them. The lpf I doubt will run hardly any candidate
because most of them I feel are not qualified to run the party. Like it or not,
the state of floirida has now made the lpf IRRELEVANT when it comes to
qualifying candidates and their are a number of libertarian activists who agree.
                                                                      James
