Almost everyone is hurt by rent control.

Even the LP in California was hurt by it.
A long term Officer dirtbag pretty much is 'enabled' by his
living in rent-controlled housing.

Oh, and getting government heath care and who knows
what else he gets.  I have my suspicions.

Thank goodness the creepy one resigned finally!

It's just like socialized medicine in Canada.
They don't like it.
It doesn't work.
It hurts almost everyone.

But now they feel 'stuck' in it and can't even imagine
another way to get out of it.

The properties fall apart under rent control.

Other people who are hurt by rent control are tenants and prospective tenants
who are outside the rent-control system. Rent control arbitrarily benefits some
tenants at the expense of others.

However, even if it were true I do not see how it would affect my

credibility on this issue. Everybody in New York City is affected by

the rent control situation. Either they benefit from Rent Control,

such as those who pay $150 per month to live in luxury thee-bedroom

apartments on the Upper East Side, or they are hurt by rent control,

such as landlords and building owners who cannot charge a fair rent

for their properties.
