Sam,

The crosstabs (see page 9) absolutely list Warren as Libertarian. As do most of
the media reports.

Greenberg is referring to Carl Paladino in Western NY.

The poll is based on him as a Libertarian in the General Election and does not
reflect a split between
the two parties as you suggest.

I certainly am not reading any poll as more than what it is. David Moore's book
The Super Pollsters
is as engaging book about methodology, tactics and meanings of polls as any of
the many that I have read.
There is no scientific paradigm of polling that can apply in relation to more
empirically bound disciplines.

While the Seneca Nation may have commissioned polls from Siena at some point
regarding cigarettes and policy in the past, I don't see anywhere that this is
the case. Perhaps you are misreading my sentence about the two. I do not
believe they are related in this matter.

I agree that Kristin Davis is an issue for the LPNY.

Please forward my responses to the Yahoo groups listed, many of whom I am not a
member of and just bounce on me. As an IT guy, I've never been a big fan of
Yahoo Groups, but do try on occasion to communicate thusly with the many
Libertarians that are fans/users.

Thanks,

Eric
