What I find works for me is to commit to svn, then let buildbot pick
it up and run it through our umpteen different combinations.  Paul's
patch is probably in a decent enough state for that.

What we need to do is create a permanent branch/test for "just about
ready to commit for real", though - commit to it first, let buildbot
autotest it, then move to trunk after success.
