I certainly don't have much more of a handle on that than you, Frank, as I have fallen very much out of the queue over the last week and change due to chronic overwork. I just hobbled in the front door of Liberty Northwest and stirred the pot awhile. 8-) > The "rowdy Libertarians" as you use the term, might exist, but > certainly not in the right vs. left wing of American politics. In fact, I have been guilty of saying a time or two that nobody in their right mind would have voted for either of the pair, but as it turned out, our nation is a nation of sheep, easily led to the slaughter. > I do believe however, you are obligated by your own post above, > and ya just got to explain how something like this might appear > on a public forum here, Dave. The Libertarian Party is not a > right wing, nor a left wing Party. I'll concede that point, as well. My impressions of the Libertarian Party is that, unlike either the Democrats or the Republicans, at least the Libertarians live for the art of the discussion of the issues that lay before us all. For example, I've seen more meaningful debate here regarding the issues than I have seen from either party. However, as a result of their willingness to discuss the issues, sometimes Libertarians are viewed, at least by myself, as being a bit more rowdy than say a bunch of ultra-conservative Southern Baptist emissaries from the Republican Party. > For the record at least, I did post to Connie earlier tonight on > a matter of Meth Labs and children, and grand children, and I > tried my best to explain that in an overall Libertarian context. > Also, for the record, such a solution to the problem isn't > entertained by either the Right or Left wings of current American > politics. > > Actually, given the propensity for Libertarians to always find a > way to disagree on most everything imaginable, I find it > difficult to conceive of a 'Libertarian entourage' arriving > anywhere, anytime soon. The Libertarian entourage might arrive here, but predictably enough, within minutes of landing they would disagree over something. and thus a great debate would continue.
