Perhaps do more.

kompoz has the concept of following someone. This is a one way
relationship and does not need confirmation/approval of the person
being followed. (so, identi.ca calls it subscribing to someone and
also doesn't need confirmation) I prefer the kompoz term in a musical
context and I think we should show who I am following as well as who
is following me as with identi.ca

that said, it might be a good idea to have friends as well and to
require confirmation by both parties for this relationship. For this
you just need to show friends.

Not a bad idea but i would need to rethink how my thoughts above would
need to be modified if this were to be implemented. (I guess it is OK
to require confirmation of the relationship??)
