--- Comment #9 from [email protected] --- Created attachment 196306 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=196306&action=edit Date and time fields without the leading single quote present in SortExample.xls When I made the first XLS file using the old version of Calc on my computer, the way I set the cell formats for date and time in Columns A and B was to select 'Number Format' in the Format menu and then to check either the Date or Time checkbox as appropriate. But on my version of Calc, I ended up with a leading single quote in the cell value followed by the date or time string. My recollection was that the leading single quote in the cell value causes the rest of the characters to be interpreted only as text. So in SortExample2.xls, I manually edited the cell values in columns A and B to delete the leading single quote: the ' character. After that, the Number Format of those cells was "General". Then the Sort executed correctly. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
