First clear the active font and load a full list of Unicode character blocks BMP & SMP. Then let users make active selection(s) from the Unicode block listing. Filter for fonts with selected coverage and display just those in the font combobox listing? Use only that filtered list of fonts across the other instances of the font combobox listing--until changed/cleared via the SCD, and some reset elsewhere like on the Character... dialog?
