As a complement, it seems that the xz tool provides a more reliable archive
than the lzma. Basically xz implements LZMA2 file format.

Moreover xz provides a --extreme option which provides a better compression
without requiring more memory at compression/decompression. However this option
slows down the compression (same speed for decompression or slighty faster if
the archive size decreased).

Maybe this --extreme option should be considered when building one archive for
thousands of users.
