I agree with Klaus, this bug appears infrequently, unexpectedly, and is not
necessarily immediately detectable.

Let me explain: I have been using an impress format document containing many
formulas for several years. Last year I wanted to make a minor correction to a
displayed formula (I don't know how the software works but I imagine there is
an image cache so as not to regenerate everything every time) it was no longer
editable. I had to redo it.

The catch is that as long as you don't touch it the display remains correct.

After checking this had impacted about ten formulas in the middle of a
document. Those at the end were not. I imagine I created them after the
incident that caused the formulas to disappear. Maybe there was two or three
years the problem exist....

I have documents, small ones, large ones, which have this bug for some
formulas, we can't touch them anymore... in my spare time I recreate them when
I come across them. If I don't have time, I don't save them so as not to lose
the display of the formulas, I close, I reopen and above all don't touch them!

if we try to edit we get instead a puzzle icon with the number of the OLE
object, and there, it's dead!
