--- Comment #5 from Christian Meier <[email protected]> ---
Sorry for the confusion. This is my first bug report here.

Here are the new steps to reproduce:

1. Open the "testfile missing umlauts3.pptx" with LibreOffice 25.8.4.2 on a
Windows machine.

2. On its three slides the presentation includes the text "ÄÖÜäöüß" written in
four different fonts (Monotype Corsiva on first slide, Arial and Comic Sans MS
on second slide, Impact on last slide. You can only see the letter "ß" from the
text written in Monotype Corsiva, Comic Sans MS, and Impact. The text in Arial
is complete.

3. Create a new document (presentation, text or sheet) without closing
LibreOffice (you can close the test file but there is no need).

4. Write a text with German umlauts and change the font to Monotype Corsiva,
Comic Sans MS or Impact. The umlauts will disappear. This could also effects
other existing documents using these fonts.

5. Close all LibreOffice windows.

6. Open LibreOffice again and create a new document.

7. There is no problem with umlauts anymore but it will come back if you open
the test file again.
