--- Comment #22 from Colin <[email protected]> --- (In reply to Regina Henschel from comment #21) > The problem is connected to the fact, that cell B22 has a background fill. > If you set the background color to "no fill" the Autofilter-sort works as > intended. > > The Autofilter in the example is associated to a named database range as you > can see in file markup. In such a case, the Autofilter should respect the > size of the database range at least when the database range is explicitly > selected. I suspect you may not have noticed a very important part of the originating bug report "note: THE PINK FILLED CELL DEFINES THE ROW THAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE DEFINED RANGE DEFINITION AND HAS ALSO BEEN PROTECTED. THIS WAS THE ONLY WORKAROUND FROM A PREVIOUSLY REPORTED BUG WHERE DEFINED RANGES WOULD OVERFLOW INTO EACH OTHER. Have you inadvertently identified yet another bug in the handling of defined ranges and autofilters that now includes background fills in locations outside the defined range? Accessing >Data>Select Range>Veg (or any other named range) clearly identifies that ALL the ranges have been carefully constructed to terminate prior to any intrusion into unauthorised territory. The careful crafting was summarily destroyed in the upgrade to 7.6. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
