Open attached file. Select the database range "upper". You see that the range A3:B11 is marked. Click outside to deselect it. Click on Autofilter drop-down icon in B3. Do nothing in the Autofilter but click on "Cancel". Now select database range "upper" again. Notice, that its range has changed to A3:B18.
