In my case, I would very much like to use a higher percentage (meaning bigger text's size), but if I go further than 128% (in my case) – the number can be seen when clicking (and holding) or moving the horizontal slider that sets the text's size – then there are some negative consequences, such as the problem described in comment 0. To actually see the effect, you have to apply a higher OS's text size (e.g. 225%) and then open a module in LO, menu View > User Interface. Please note that this setting is not the same as screen resolution, but they are very related. I guess the issue is a combination of both settings.
