--- Comment #8 from Eyal Rozenberg <[email protected]> --- (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #7) I'm not seeing this cap. Let me offer some STR. 1. Create new Calc document 2. Ensure the font used is Liberation Sans 10 3. Place cursor in cell A1 4. Enter the following text (without newlines): the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. the quick brown fox. the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. the quick brown fox. 5. On the context menu, choose Optimal Width... 6. Leave the default settings in the dialog (Add 0.2cm, Default value checked; and by the way, that checkbox is a silly control) and press Ok 7. On the context menu, choose Column Width... The column width is now ~50cm, and typically much wider than the screen width. Tested with: Version: 25.8.4.2 (X86_64) Build ID: 290daaa01b999472f0c7a3890eb6a550fd74c6df CPU threads: 20; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (build 22631); UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_IL); UI: en-GB -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
