--- Comment #5 from David GarcĂa <[email protected]> ---
Hello,

I had LO 26.2.1 on my PC until a few minutes ago, when I decided to download
the installer for 26.2.2 and manually install it.

I've been waiting for a whole week for 26.2.2 to be delivered via 'Automatic
Update' (which I made sure is enabled), but it never happened and I really
wanted to take advantage of all the bugs fixed in the latest release. For a
feature called 'automatic', it takes a long time for the update to be
downloaded and installed. A few hours (or even a day) sounds reasonable to me,
but more than a week isn't practical and, in the future, I'll go back to manual
installations as I've done so far.

To be fair, I've seen 'Automatic Update' work at least once in the past, but
the context was a computer that I hadn't used for a few months. After clicking
on the LibreOffice icon, the programme found an update, which was, in fact,
installed automatically, though it took longer than I had anticipated. I'm not
familiar with the intricancies of this feature, but I was hoping for a silent
and quick update, as it's the case with a browser or Thunderbird, so that the
updated software is quickly available for users.

Anyway, I just wanted to give my feedback about it.

This is not place, I know, but I've just read the Collabora blog post and the
response from The Documentation Foundation and I feel sad and concerned. This
is a great project, and I believe that the majority of LibreOffice users just
hope that it continues to get better and better despite the noise. Let's try to
include as many people as possible and avoid unnecessary conflicts.
