--- Comment #18 from BDF <[email protected]> --- Created attachment 207858 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=207858&action=edit WRITER - bug 113605 - copy background to different cell - demo image (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #16) > [...] But would you also expect the colored text from a red > shape pasted into a blue shape to change the object background? > As end user I would expect the cell being copied _as is_ since I have no visual clue what formatting is used to achieve the current style. When I copy the text I would expect to may only copy the text and it's style (this would be DF I guess). When I mark *the entire cell* I would expect writer to copy the entire cell as is with all it's formatting. As a long time Calc user I would expect in writer tables about the same behaviour for basic operations (eg copy&paste) as in calc. In writer text colour as well text (not cell) background is also copied. My usecase: I have a table with tasks to complete. Every task has a column where I enter a checkmark and make the background green when it's finished. Right now it's a two step process: 1) copy entire cell with the checkmark; 2) manually set the cell colour. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
