--- Comment #10 from Adalbert Hanßen <[email protected]> --- (In reply to BogdanB from comment #9) > ... > Anyway, the bug is just about buttons colors, not that something is not > functioning well. You're right. It's just a minor inconsistency. But it’s a hurdle when teaching about LO Writer if the interface violates general principles (not to mention that your computer’s dark mode settings obscure whether a control button is usable or disabled: It sacrifices functionality for the sake of style. Unfortunately, this happens quite often because more and more people are focusing on appearance rather than the functions themselves). The success of a software project depends largely on how easy it is to learn how to use it and on whether its interface follows general principles—for example, that inactive buttons are displayed differently from active ones. Here, however, this principle is being disregarded: The buttons look inactive, but are actually active. This needs to be fixed—even if it’s not noticeable in a “dark mode” environment because that mode suppresses the visual distinction. Based on this experience, one should consider whether “dark mode” is a suitable testing environment. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
