The only relevant test that I performed on attachment 207952 was to enable / disable "shrink-to-fit" on all the cells with different font sizes. Additionally, when the sum of the widths of columns A and B was less than 4.84" (approx. 123mm), then only one page was needed; and when the sum of those widths was larger than that (again, approx. 123mm) then 2 pages were needed. Making column A narrower and expanding column B was easier in order to check this threshold. That's for attachment 207952; I have different settings (e.g. margins) in my own default template, so the threshold was different than 4.84". The point of the basic tests I performed on attachment 207952 was to consider whether the "shrink-to-fit" setting on the cells was actually the key cause of the existence / need of the second page, as you report in comment 0. At this point, I cannot say that the "shrink-to-fit" feature is the source of the problem. Perhaps someone else might have a different approach. In the meantime, you might want to open a topic at <https://ask.libreoffice.org> to ask for assistance in finding what exactly triggers the second page and what settings you could potentially modify in order to change the current threshold in attachment 207952.
