x1.ods demo spreadsheet
The attached spreadsheet (x1.ods) has shrink-to-fit in all cells. There are
only two columns, one 4" wide and the other 0.5" wide.
However the text "abcdefg" in the 0.5" column causes the cell to overflow, i.e.
it is not shrunk sufficiently. With View->Page Break a phantom cell is visible
in Column C.
If the font size is manually set to 9 pt then it fits. But with the font set
to 10 pt, shrink-to-fit is ineffective.
This is derived from a larger sheet. In the real application, the problem
causes blank pages to be printed because a "phantom" column is created which
has no visible content, but which won't fit in the page width.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Load the attached x1.ods
2. View->Page Break
3. Verify that Alighment-> Shrink to fit cell size is checked in cell B1
(Rightclick->Format Cells->Alignment->Shrink to fit cell size checked)
4. File->Print Preview
RESULTS: A "phantom" cell in column C appears which can not be deleted. When
printed, it appears on an extraneous empty page. (I've set a page-format
background color so you can see the empty cell when printed on the extra page)
