Description:
When attempting to open an .ott (OpenDocument Text Template) file via File ->
Open inside LibreOffice, dragging and dropping it into the application, or
double-clicking it in Windows Explorer, LibreOffice always creates a new
untitled document based on the template instead of opening the .ott file itself
for editing.
Unless the file is opened from the "Recent Documents" thumbnail list (if
created recently), there is no intuitive way to open and edit the template file
directly once it has been moved or received from an external source.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Save any Writer document as an .ott template file.
2. Move or copy the .ott file to a new location so it is not accessed via
"Recent Documents".
3. Try to open the .ott file for editing using any of the following:
Double-clicking or right-clicking in File Explorer.
Dragging and dropping the .ott file into LibreOffice.
Using File -> Open within LibreOffice Writer.
Actual Results:
LibreOffice creates and opens a new "Untitled 1" document based on the template
in all cases. The original .ott file cannot be opened for direct editing.
Expected Results:
There should be an explicit way to open and edit .ott files (e.g., File -> Open
should open the template file itself for editing, or an "Edit Template" context
menu option should be provided).
