Description:
The "Zoom & View Layout" dialog in Writer has the cursor correctly on the
"Custom" field by default.
A tiny step change in the UI would make changing the zoom much faster using the
keyboard.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. In writer, say you want to change the zoom view to 57%
2. Open the "Zoom & View Layout" dialog (under Edit->Zoom, or by clicking on
the bottom-right corner of the UI)
3. Now you see the dialog. The cursor is placed on the "Custom:" value box
(let's say for example the current zoom is 100%)
Actual Results:
Now you have to either select the "100%" text, and replace it with 57%, or you
could erase only "100" and write "57", or you can also press the "+" or "-"
buttons next to it.
Note that any of those steps require that you DO SOMETHING WITH THE CURRENT
VALUE FIRST (select it, erase it, click on a button) BEFORE setting the new
desired value.
Expected Results:
The "100%" (or any other value of the current zoom) should be SELECTED by
default.
Then the user just needs to type the desired value and press ENTER.
Therefore changing the current zoom to 57% would take only two steps:
- bring the "Zoom and View Layout" dialog
- type "57" and enter
Note that the cursor is already in the text field by default (i.e. the focus is
already there!), so the only tiny little change I am requesting is that the
text is SELECTED by default. That is all.
A very small change would make the UX much nicer, especially for folks who like
using the keyboard.
