The Din A5 document page is landscape or portrait? Do you try to print two pages of the document onto one sheet of a Din A4 paper? If yes, which setting do you use to achieve that? The printing dialog has a preview. Is it correct in the preview? Do not only look at placement and orientation but also at the paper size shown at the edges of the preview.
