Does that actually work for you? Anyway, the situation with the Notebookbar UI modes in general is kind of a tar pit. You see, implementing a proper multi-tab meta-widget - with customizability, themeability, sectioning support and all of the other goodies - is a massive task, and even more so if you want to do it across several platforms. LO developers have _never undertaken_ this task. The Notebookbar is a hack, stretching the abilities of traditional top-of-dialog tabs as far as the developers can. It was never fully mature code; and frankly, I personally would probably not have added it to releases at all. But - it has been released, and now the developer have to struggle with a mechanism that apparently cannot support what we would want it to do. So they can get some feature or functionality at the expense of others. This is doubly the case of the NBB modes other than NBB Tabbed. They're really a "maybe it'll work for you" kind of a feature. So the consideration you bring up was not on our minds (well, the developers minds mostly but I am also responsible as I did not object) when NBB customizability was on the chopping block. But I will ask you this: Do you believe there is a significant number of people who, due to visual impairment, prefer Tabbed Compact with large icons, over Menus+Toolbars and NBB Tabbed ? Even if those two modes have their icons enlarged as well? If you can do it for one "special > tab", why not all of them? That's a good question. That is, forget NBB Tabbed, where the customization has to be richer than for a toolbar. Can we not treat the tabs of Tabbed-Compact as though they were toolbars, w.r.t. customization?
