--- Comment #38 from HeartLetter <[email protected]> --- It appears the correct name for Free* fonts in the Preferences dialog is FreeSans etc. Removing all substitution configs, and keeping Noto as the default font: 1) ODT appears with all those characters drawn, but in different shapes according to the line. 2) The PDF gets one line messed up. In Preferences -> Fonts, it includes: LiberationSerif, FreeSerif, DejaVuSerif, FreeSans. - Substituting ONLY 'Liberation Serif -> Noto Serif': some of those characters (=^ or ->) appear as 'tofu' both in ODT and in PDF according to the line. That line does not appear messed up in the PDF. PDF Fonts include: FreeSerif, DejaVuSerif, FreeSans. - Substituting ONLY 'Liberation Serif -> DejaVu Serif': in the ODT, all characters appear regularly drawn, EXCEPT the =^ in the problematic line. In the PDF, all correctly drawn BUT NOT in the problematic line, and that line appears messed up. PDF Fonts include: DejaVuSerif, FreeSerif, FreeSans. - Substituting ONLY 'Liberation Serif -> FreeSerif': in the ODT, all characters appear regularly drawn, INCLUDING the =^ in the problematic line. In the PDF, THAT LINE APPEARS NEAT AS NEATNESS ITSELF. The PDF includes the fonts: FreeSerif, DejaVuSerif, FreeSans. PARCIAL CONCLUSION: Substituting only 'Liberation Serif' (with space) by 'FreeSerif' (without space) in LibreOffice's Preferences->Fonts dialog SOLVES the whole issue in lists.
