--- Comment #5 from Jim Avera <[email protected]> --- I didn't realize the behavior described applied only to Impress but I don't think that matters now. What is important is that the behavior of drawing polygons in Calc works and is correctly documented. (Originally I wanted to draw connected line-segments i.e. unclosed polygons on a Calc spreadsheet but could not remember how to constrain segments to 45-degree increments. Help didn't lead to a complete answer [see below] so I googled and found that Impress help page.) Moving forward: 1. Help -> "lines" (in search box) provides "lines - draw functions" but no Calc-specific hits. This would be ideal if the line-drawing functions worked the same in all components *or* differences were documented within that help topic. 2. Help for "lines - draw functions" describes how to draw Polygon shapes with vertices constrained to 45-degree increments using the Shift key. But does not say how to draw disconnected points (what Alt does in Impress). 3. When Polygons are drawn in Calc and Alt is attempted to be used to insert disconnected points (as described in the Impress help about polygon drawing), the behavior seems wrong -- as if the function was intended to work but some bug makes Shift constrain movement incorrectly In summary: Are disconnected polygons intended to not work in Calc? If so this should be documented. Either way, what is "Alt" intended to do in Calc while drawing polygons? Isn't it a bug that using "Alt" makes "Shift" mis-behave later? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
