If your not experiencing this at all, perhaps its the debian distro - however I cannot imagine that being the case, I can fire up an old box and slam another disto as a test. The file posted here has only a few records, the production file I use has well over 5000, however that makes no difference with this issue, no matter how many records - it hangs a few seconds.
