When this render issue happens in larger documents (like 30 pages or more), it will actually cause Windows to report the program as "Not Responding" for long periods of time. I have seen Writer 5 in this condition for about 90 minutes on an i7-4770K machine with 32GB of DDR3 and no other programs running. Eventually control is returned and the document is rendered incorrectly. You can exit or save, but if you scroll at all, Writer 5 starts "Not Responding" again. I will add a zip attachment with screen shot PNGs that show this test document as well as the real document it was created from.
