when opening some older (2003-2007) .doc documents the text comes out all
jumbled together at the beginning of a line. this is sometimes inconsistent
within some documents where some text is proper and other improper. These
documents all open perfectly in WORD 2013 as well as Open Office. Also some
documents created at the same time open perfectly and some don't work. the
effect is completely reproducible for any given document.
