Cannot confirm.
FWIW - no one that I've talked to likes the new save behavior but it's not
going away. I wouldn't waste my time filing an enhancement request. If
anything, join the UX mailing list and say you're one of the countless number
of people who are unhappy about the unnecessary and confusing change.
