I understood that the doc/docx/odt files were created by opening the .dot file
in LibreOffice. The original title of your report was "Difficulty importing
office templates".

If you now want to change this to be about opening non-template files produced
by Microsoft Office, I think it would be better to close this and open new
reports (so many comments already etc.).

In the new reports, be sure to mention "This file was created with Microsoft
Office 2007" etc. so there is no need to add comments requesting information.
