where there is an Open/Save Dialogs option with an unchecked box for 'Use
LibreOffice dialogs'
@ Alex : Yes I do - I run Parallels with Windows7 and there's alias for it on
the desktop. Also an alias for a WD MyCloud drive that I just deleted since it
wasn't working correctly. Remarkably that solved the problem and Insert now
functions as expected when selecting an image from the Desktop.
