Can I query whether this really is a 'medium' level issue?
For those affected (and one guesses numbers will increase as people install
updates) it's crippling unless they are able to roll back Windows. I was
unable to uninstall the relevant updates (Windows would not let me, saying they
could not be uninstalled at all).
I was fortunate in having been careful to have a recovery disk, daily data
backups to restore, my own instructions on how to get back to where I was, and
the ability to halt all further updates using gpedit.msc. I believe many
systems and users may be unable to prevent updates being installed.
