--- Comment #8 from Daniel John Evans <[email protected]> ---
I'm now using LibreOffice 3.6.3.2
Browser is Firefox 16.0.2

Thank you bfoman for investigating this bug. I have attached a test
spreadsheet extracted from a real spreadsheet. I've also attached two
screenclips showing the spreadsheet with highlights and highlights removed
(unfortunately, I attached the first screenclip twice by accident.)

The bug has got a little worse. Right clicking an underlined word is no longer
sufficient to apply the dictionary to the spreadsheet. It is necessary to
click on ADD in the drop down list resulting from the right click. That
removes the underlining from the selected word but from no others, even from
duplicates. Right clicking on a duplicate gives a drop down list which does
not contain ADD, so there is no way of removing underlining from the duplicate.
However, saving, closing and reopening the file removes underlining.

If I can help with this I will. However, I have only user knowledge of
LibreOffice. For example I would like to look in the dictionary but don't know
how to.
