--- Comment #10 from Daniel John Evans <[email protected]> --- (In reply to comment 9) I followed the instructions for looking at the standard dictionary and noticed that the check box for it was not checked. I checked it and this appears to have cured the problem. I'm saying this first as it makes your first question less relevant. As for your first question, from my point of view it was the same problem but worse. I had a sea of red and had to go through more hoops to get rid of it. But yes, failure to recognise a duplicate word and remove the underlining was new---before it was merely enough to right click on an underlined word to remove underlining from all words. As for AutoSpellcheck I assume that is switched on/off by the Tools>Options>Language Settings>Writing Aids>Options>Check spelling as you type check box. I haven't tried it as I no longer have underlined words to try it on. Thank you for your help with this, bfoman. I intend to wait a few days to see if the problem has gone from all spreadsheets and new ones; also to explore dictionaries/spelling in text documents. If at the end of that I'm convinced the problem has gone I'll add a further comment here and follow whatever procedure is necessary to close this bug. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
