Even though you only see 5 pages in your screenshot, there really are six
pages. If you switch into book view, then you will notice a "blank page" for
left side, even page 2. That's because you started what you consider the second
page to have an odd number, so the computer has to force an empty page to keep
the odd number on a right-side page.
So there is nothing wrong with what is happening here.
