I bolded the 2nd word and that seemed to work normally until I clicked in open space when BOTH words 'scrunched'. I had to close LibreOffice without saving as I was having difficulty deleting the two words I had entered. I then opened the document in which I first encountered the problem. Both are plain text documents in the default font. I WAS able to bold a word in that document successfully. So, the problem isn't appearing consistently, though while creating the first document (the first I had attempted using 4.0.1.2) it WAS consistent!
