Just to be sure: we are talking about the Presenter Console like displayed

That Presenter Console is now build-in LibreOffice, so no need for an extension
anymore.
If you open Impress and go to Slide Show > Slide Show Settings. Is the option
at the bottom (Multiple Displays > Presentation Display) greyed out? If so, the
second screen isn't recognized well.
