--- Comment #4 from Michael Rutland <[email protected]> --- Hello m.a.roisv, As requested, I restarted LibreOffice in ‘Safe Mode’ (using the ‘Reset to factory settings' option). The 'Default Languages for Documents' - Western was displayed as ‘English(UK)’. The new blank document displayed English(UK) at the bottom of the window and the English(UK) dictionary was used for spell checking. That said, the ‘Thesaurus’ option from the ‘Tools menu was not available (greyed out) despite being shown elsewhere as available! Opening a second blank document, also displayed English(UK) at the bottom of the window. I could not find a way of returning to ‘Normal Mode’ from ‘Safe Mode’. So had to ‘Exit’ the ‘Safe Mode’. I took several screenshots showing various language/spelling situations in support of the above comments. Please let me know if you would find a copy useful/helpful along with how to send them. I look forward to receiving your advice and guidance on the best way forward (in layman's language please) to resolve the persistent ‘English(USA)’ language issue when using ‘Normal Mode’. Presumably, when LibreOffice is successfully set up to consistently use English(UK) language in ‘Normal Mode’, the missing ‘Thesaurus’ option mentioned above would still be applicable. Kind regards Michael Rutland -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
