Create the partition of 8GB on the Libretto, Resize w/PM on the
desktop, leaving some space at the end for the suspend, and the L
should see all 12GB afterwards.

BIOS too old to support 8GB+HDs w/o additional help.

Possibly. Don't know. You should check the data on the HD after a
suspend to verify where it is occuring. Then let us all know!
