Ahh, you have to use Partition Magic on a desktop machine. Thank you
for the clarification.

"the L should see all 12GB afterwards" -- do you mean "Windows will
be able to see all 12GB afterwards", or is it that the Libretto BIOS
actually gets a clue when it sees a partition table exceeding 8GB,
and allows it to be accessed thought BIOS calls?!

Yes, I will definitely try it out as soon as I'll have a 12GB installed.
However, I'm afraid I won't get around to doing that anytime soon :-(
