Thanks David. Great program. Does not find any errors.
However this program also freezes when I press Ctrl key.
It also seems to freeze sometimes without any intervention
and without showing memory errors. I think I do not need to 
re-install Windows 98. This should convince Toshiba
that this is a hardware problem.

Test under DOS only.  Windows can crash now and then for no better
reason and cause a false positive.

Use DocMemory, a free memory tester that writes lots of patterns into
every memory address over and over again to check the integrity of the
system.
