Subject: REQ Feedback on diamond wireless combo pack
Hi,
I'm still looking for a good wireless solution for sharing my DSL line
between my desktop and libretto. Many people here suggested the webgear
product. It looks good but is also expensive. I've seen the Diamond wireless
setup with a desktop ISA card and PCMCIA card going for about half the
price. The transfer speed is also half at about 1Mb, which is fine for me as
my DSL only tops out at 600Kb downstream. It's also limited to 150 feet
which is also ok. I assume that 150ft means 75ft in the real world. Does
anyone have experience with these things? What gateway software does it use?
