with only 32MB on a L50, you're really giving yourself pain.
Only way around it? Strip Win98 of IE (use Netscape or Opera instead) with
98lite.net's program, and you'll easily gain back all the performance loss and
extra RAM, while saving yourself around 100MB of HD space that IE once took.
I've had it going on a 133Mhz desktop with 32MB of RAM, and I was happily
suprised by how zippy W98 after 98Lite ran on it - very good performance and
response.
Beyond that, back to W95 or DOS.
