Hi Michael,
Good to know there is another Lib user in the UK!
I have a Lib 100CT and am thinking of purchasing a GPS unit. Knowing what
you know now, what unit would you go for (please include the 'money no
problem' choice as well!!)
Regards
John

As many others have discovered, as well as myself, the Garmin eTrex is a
great little unit, similar in size to my Nokia 6100 series mobile phone.
I use mine in the UK with a 50CT, at present with 'Personnel Navigator'
based on '97 OS maps.
This was my main reason for a 6GB hard drive so I could load the whole
mapping of the UK off the CD (448MB)
Does anybody on the list in the UK have any experiance with other mapping
software.
The problem with Personnel Navigator is the lack of street level mapping,
and the fact that you can only go from waypoint to waypoint via a straight
line route, not a road route, with no spoken instructions.
Thankyou,
Michael Heathcote.
