Subject: Lib50 - Won't suspend
Hi all,
I've got a problem which I'm sure has been discussed before but which up
until now I've been able to fix myself. Sorry for the repetition if this
is the case.
Basically my Lib50 refuses to suspend any more, when I pick it from the
start menu, the cursor goes to hourglass and stays there. If I do a
ctrl-alt-del it tells me that msgsrv32 is not responding and thereafter
I'm pretty much screwed. Sometimes even just shutting down doesn't work
(with or without a previous suspend attempt) and I keep having to poke
the reset button. Like I say this has happened before sometimes after
I've installed new software on it (in this case MusicMatch for MP3 and
several other things ready to go for my holidays) but I've managed to
get it back by reinstalling the Dial-Up-Networking 1.3 patch or a couple
of others (I can't remember which). However in this case none of them
work.
So does anyone know a better and preferably more kosher way to get
suspend working again, I'd hate to have to keep booting and resetting
the little thing each time I want to use it for 5 minutes.
Cheers,
Phil,
