Subject: 50CT, wireless card, and Winproxy

Howdy all, (from Dallas, where it was 109 degrees Farenheit today!)

After looking for months for some Webgear Aviator cards, I gave up and
bought some Acer WarpLink cards this weekend, and was looking forward to
recommending this extremely cheap ($90 for desktop and laptop cards)
setup to the list. However.... the local network works fine at about
the advertised 1Mbps, but when I try to open a browser to hit an
external site through Winproxy, I get "looking up blah", "contacting
blah" and then finally times out. It seems like it almost finds it. If
ping a URL, it resolves the URL to an address (which I found strange)
but times out. Winproxy was working fine for my "wired" LAN. Any
ideas, or has anyone run into similar symptoms with wireless cards?

Thanks,
Joe

p.s. Win98 on Libby and Winproxy machine
