The IR port on L100 is capable of 4 Mbps and resides at PCI bus. If you look
at your device manager, you will see in 'Other Devices', a yellow
exclaimation on 'PCI communication device', that's your FIR port device and
there is no driver for it. Only Win98 or later OS support this type of
device.
