If you can afford it, places like igo.com offer long-life external batteries
that are generic, not designed for specific laptops...
I assume you have an extended Toshiba battery for your L50? I found them to
be reasonable, of course my L110 has a *great* battey life, and cna recharge
while in use, but that doesn't help you (unless you upgrade!)...
