To any of those brave souls thinking about the next OS: I've tried Whistler
beta1 on a 110 with success. It is even more of a memory hog than 2000 or
NT ever were but it does run. Even if the 110 could go to 128MB of RAM I
don't think it would be enough to make Whistler run the way it is supposed
to run on a laptop. I don't see much usefulness for the Lib after ME or NT.
I've run every permutation of Win2000 on it and each time I get even more
frustrated at the constant page file hits and the slowness. I'm sticking to
98se on mine. No more, no less.
p.s. I'm running Whistler on a PIII 550 with 128MB and love it way more than
W2K - I just wish I had more RAM!
